Stance · Effective 19 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the Stance iPhone app. Using the app means you accept them.
Stance looks at a side-profile photo and estimates how your head, shoulders and hips are stacked against a vertical reference line. It returns scores, a short written read, and a daily routine of stretches and exercises drawn from a fixed library.
This matters more than anything else here. Stance gives an opinion from a photograph. It does not measure you, diagnose you, or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for a physician, physiotherapist, or any other qualified professional.
There is no evidence-backed ideal posture. The vertical line Stance compares you to is a convention, and a score is an estimate from one posed photo, not a finding about your body.
Do not use Stance to diagnose or treat a condition. If you have pain, numbness, an injury, or any health concern, see a professional. Stop any exercise that hurts.
Access can be withdrawn if the app is used this way.
Your photos remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service on your behalf: to transmit your photo to the processors named in the Privacy Policy and return the result. We claim no ownership and do not use your photos for marketing.
The app, its design, the exercise library, and its written material belong to us and may not be copied or redistributed.
Stance depends on third-party services and may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that any score is accurate or that any routine will produce a result.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for injury arising from exercises you choose to perform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms may change; the effective date above changes with them. Continuing to use the app means accepting the current version.
